Dreaming King is a media production company located in Brisbane, Australia. We believe in telling stories that give the audience what they want but not what they expect.
The company was founded by Avi Lewin in August 2008 as a production vehicle for his short film "Left Unspoken", and was formally incorporated in 2016 as Dreaming King Productions Pty Ltd.
In November 2022, after an incubation period of a decade, Dreaming King introduced its "4200 Characters" graphic novel imprint. Each 4200 Characters story follows the same rules: 1. It must be less than or equal to four thousand two hundred characters (letters, numbers, and spaces) in length; and 2. It must be told completely in one volume only.
The first volume, titled "Unlucky Last", was released in November 2022.
Dreaming King's goal for the 4200 Characters imprint is to grow it to 4200 Volumes by making the best one-shot graphic novels in the world.
